“History of mental health problems”

Why do news reports continue to use “history of mental health problems” as if it’s a complete answer to the “why?” of violent crime? It isn’t.

Some thoughts.

    To sensationalise the story! More crimes are commited by people without a history of mental illness

    Thank you for clarifying some indiscretions behind those who suffer from mental health. It cannot be the determining factor for why someone commits a violent crime
